Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Arrival → Kumarakom / Alleppey
Meet-and-greet at the airport or railway station and a private transfer to the backwaters. Check in to your resort or board the houseboat, then out on the water for the sunset — the part of Kerala everyone remembers.
Day 2
Alleppey → Thekkady
A scenic road journey up into spice country. Walk a cardamom and pepper plantation with a grower, and take the optional Periyar boat ride or a guided nature walk before dusk.
Day 3
Thekkady → Vagamon → Munnar
The best driving day of the trip. Over the hills through Vagamon's meadows and pine forest, then on into the tea country, arriving in Munnar with the light behind the estates.
Day 4
Munnar Sightseeing → Departure
A tea garden and factory visit, the local viewpoints, and time for cardamom and tea to take home before your transfer to the airport or station.
