Question 1

How do I book a holiday with JK Travels and Holidays?

Accepted Answer

Start with an enquiry — from any package page, the trip builder, or the contact form. We reply with a written itinerary and a full quotation, usually within one business day. Once you are happy with it, we confirm with a deposit and send you the booking vouchers.

Question 2

Can I customise a package instead of taking it as listed?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and most travellers do. Every package on this site is a starting point. Change the hotel category, add or remove nights, swap activities, or change the vehicle — the price recalculates and we re-issue the itinerary.

Booking

Question 3

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

For peak season — December to February in the Gulf, June to August in Europe, cherry blossom in Japan — three to four months ahead. For shoulder season, four to six weeks is usually comfortable. We can work with less, but availability and pricing both narrow.

Booking

Question 4

Do you handle flights as well?

Accepted Answer

Package prices on this site are land-only and exclude airfare. We can quote and book flights alongside your package on request, and we will tell you if booking them yourself would be cheaper.

Question 5

Is there a minimum group size?

Accepted Answer

No. We arrange trips for solo travellers, couples, families and groups of fifty. Per-person pricing does fall as the group grows, because vehicle and guide costs are shared.

Question 6

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Bank transfer and card payment. Specific options depend on your country of residence and are confirmed on your invoice. Online payment is not yet enabled on this website — all payments are arranged directly with our team.

Question 7

How much deposit is required?

Accepted Answer

Typically 25 percent of the land package at confirmation, with the balance due before travel. Some hotels and airlines require full prepayment at the time of booking, and we will say so clearly in your quotation.

Question 8

Which currency will I be billed in?

Accepted Answer

Our base currency is AED. Prices shown elsewhere on this site are converted for guidance using indicative rates. Your invoice states the billing currency and the rate applied.

Question 9

Are there hidden charges?

Accepted Answer

No. Your quotation lists inclusions and exclusions in full. Where something is genuinely variable — a visa fee, an optional activity, a peak-date hotel supplement — it is shown as a separate line rather than buried in the total.

Question 10

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation terms depend on the hotels, airlines and suppliers in your specific itinerary, so they are stated in writing on your quotation before you pay anything. As a general pattern, cancellations more than 30 days before travel attract the smallest charges, and charges rise as the departure date approaches.

Question 11

Can I change my travel dates after booking?

Accepted Answer

Often yes, subject to availability and to each supplier's own terms. Date changes made early usually cost little. We will always tell you the exact cost before making any change.

Question 12

What happens if a supplier cancels?

Accepted Answer

If a hotel, airline or activity operator cancels, we rearrange the affected element at no additional cost to you, or refund that portion if no equivalent is available.

Question 13

Are the hotels shown on this site guaranteed?

Accepted Answer

The hotels listed here are indicative of the standard and location of each category. Your actual property is confirmed in writing on your quotation, and will match or exceed the category you selected.

Question 14

Can I request a specific hotel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tell us the property and we will quote it. If it is unavailable for your dates we will offer the closest equivalent and explain the difference.

Question 15

Are single travellers charged extra?

Accepted Answer

Most hotel rates are per room rather than per person, so a solo traveller pays a single supplement. We show this as a separate line on your quotation.

Question 16

What time is check-in and check-out?

Accepted Answer

Usually 2pm check-in and 12pm check-out, but it varies by property and country. Early check-in and late check-out can often be arranged for a fee, and we will request it on your behalf.

Question 17

Is a driver included with the vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All vehicle pricing on this site includes a professional driver, fuel and parking unless stated otherwise. Self-drive can be arranged separately in destinations where it makes sense, such as Iceland or Oman.

Question 18

How many people fit in each vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Seating capacity is listed on every vehicle. As a rule, book for luggage rather than for seats — four adults with four large suitcases need an SUV, not a sedan.

Question 19

Are child seats available?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on request and at no extra charge in most destinations. Tell us the ages of your children at the time of booking so the correct seats are fitted before pickup.

Question 20

Is the vehicle available all day, or only for transfers?

Accepted Answer

Both options exist. Packages include the vehicle for the sightseeing programme described in the itinerary. Full at-disposal use, including evenings, can be added and is priced per day.

Question 21

Do you arrange visas?

Accepted Answer

We assist with visa applications for many destinations, including the UAE and Schengen countries. Visa fees and service charges are quoted separately from package prices.

Question 22

Is my visa guaranteed if I book with you?

Accepted Answer

No, and you should be cautious of anyone who says otherwise. Visa decisions are made solely by the issuing authority. We prepare and submit a complete, accurate application and will tell you honestly if we think a case is weak.

Question 23

How long does visa processing take?

Accepted Answer

It varies widely by destination and season — from a few working days to several weeks. Apply as early as your documents allow, and do not book non-refundable flights before approval.

Question 24

Is travel insurance included?

Accepted Answer

No. Travel insurance is excluded from package prices, and we strongly recommend arranging it. We can refer you to providers, but the policy is a contract between you and the insurer.

Question 25

What should my policy cover?

Accepted Answer

At minimum: medical treatment and repatriation, trip cancellation and curtailment, baggage, and any adventure activities in your itinerary — diving, skiing, trekking above a certain altitude and paragliding are commonly excluded from standard policies.

Question 26

Do children pay full price?

Accepted Answer

No. Children typically travel at a reduced rate, and infants under two are usually charged a nominal fee. The exact reduction depends on the child's age, the hotel's policy and whether an extra bed is needed.

Question 27

Which destinations do you recommend for young families?

Accepted Answer

Singapore, Dubai, Thailand, Mauritius and Kerala are consistently the easiest — short transfers, reliable infrastructure and attractions that work across a range of ages.

Question 28

Can you arrange child-friendly meals and rooms?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tell us ages and any dietary requirements at booking. We select room configurations that suit families and flag properties with kids' clubs and shallow pools.

Question 29

Are airport transfers included?

Accepted Answer

Yes, arrival and departure transfers are included in every package on this site, with meet-and-greet at the terminal.

Question 30

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Accepted Answer

Our drivers track flight arrival times and wait accordingly, at no extra charge for reasonable delays. Your itinerary includes a 24-hour contact number for the destination.

Question 31

Where will the driver meet me?

Accepted Answer

In the arrivals hall, after customs, holding a name board. The exact meeting point is confirmed on your voucher before departure.

Question 32

Can you build a trip from scratch?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that is most of what we do. Use the trip builder to set the outline, or simply tell us where you want to go, roughly when, and your budget. We will come back with a proposal.

Question 33

Do you arrange multi-country itineraries?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Dubai with Oman, Europe across three or four countries, or Southeast Asia over two weeks are all routine. The main constraints are visas and internal flight timings, and we plan around both.

Question 34

Do you handle corporate and incentive groups?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Conference hotels, group transfers, gala dinners and team activities, with a single coordinator on the ground throughout. Tell us group size and dates and we will quote.

Question 35

Do you arrange religious and pilgrimage travel?

Accepted Answer

Yes, including Umrah packages and temple circuits across India. These itineraries are built around prayer times, proximity to sites and appropriate accommodation.
